has anyone got a Jackall high lift jack I was thinking of geting one & would like to know what there like

i have a 3 foot jackall that is about 40 years old. still goes fine, doesn't get much use though.
as far as i know jackall are made in canada and some of there parts are fordged not cast like "hi-lift"

I've found that my exhaust bag is far more useful. It can be used on any type of car, where a Hi- lift jack really needs proper jacking points to be of any use. Yes I know you can use it for other things but I've never seen anyone that desperate that they what to.

A lot of guys use Jackalls over here, including myself. They are perfectly good jacks, infact I would argue that the one I have is better than a couple of mates Hi-lifts. The Jackall seems to work well whether it is looked after or not whereas I find the Hi-lifts a bitch if they are left out in the rain or full of crap. The initial reason for the Jackall was because it was cheaper, but I would definatley buy another.
It is used for everything 4x4, tree felling/logging and I even carry one in my van for use at work as a carpenter.

My father (he is almost 80) wears out a high lift jack every 4 or 5 years they are compleatly knackered and I have never seen him use one to lift a car!Zute wrote:Yes I know you can use it for other things but I've never seen anyone that desperate that they what to.
