Outer Limits 4x4 Board

So maybe a Commo V6 isn't the way to go, looking at fuel consumption...

The 3.0TD motors from the recent (not new) hilux's, is it a 5L still? Is it the same as a 5LT from a surf?

What needs to be changed to do the conversion, I know fuel tank will have to be.

Has anyone done an 88 4Runner/4Y-c to 5L conversion?

3.0 non turbo hilux is 5L/5LE, surf motor is 1KZ-TE. better value for money is the 2.8 (3L) motor, with an aftermarket turbo if you want more poke. It is a lot cheaper and easier to purchase the vehicle with the engine already installed rather than converting. think about it.
