Hi Guys,

Just wondering can anyone recommend a good clutch for a 4.2 diesel GQ

Been looking at Exedy brands

Anyone used the new Safari Tuff Clutch that Exedy make?

Thanks Guys!

Ben.

i just had the daiken(exedy) heavy duty clutch put in mine today its not the safari but the sport clutch and it works very well and feels lighter than the original clutch but clamps way better (then maybe it was stuffed) starts gabbing about 1 inch from the floor nice an smooth
so very happy

i just put a safari tough clutch in mine, its still bedding in, but so far, its amazing , soooo smooth compared to std, id never go back. specially considering the effort that i had to go to to get the ShortyIQ thing in the car in the first place :P

bloody horrible, had it on a hoist, was workin with 2 other guys, and a forklift and it still took all day to do (all melb cup day :D) altho we were done by 3 but the thrust bearin came off, so off the box came again after lots of cursing, then we had it all running before 6pm :D

Got a Safari Tuff in my Rodeo. Was slightly shuddery at 1st but excellent now that it's "run in". Apparently this is normal.
I got the flywheel machined too.

yea its normal, also guys when ur machining a gq clutch get a 3o thou lip machined into the face where the clutch sits so its raised :P it makes it feel so much more positive n it lasts longer.
