Changed slave cylinder, no clutch pressure :(

Hey Guys, changed my slave cylinder now I can't get any pressure in the clutch ( '89 GQ). After draining the old fluid out, I put new fluid in getting alot of air still coming out, now no fluid seems to be coming through to the slave cylinder valve.
I've got no pressure in the clutch what so ever an dcan't seem to get any....Am I missing something obvious????
Does my clutch pedal need adjusting after changing a slave cylinder or could trapped air or gunge in the line somewhere be the problem?. If so, is it alright to blow some compressed air through??
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .
Shezzz, thought this would be a simple excercise :(.
Ahh, 1 other thing, the hose that goes into the slave cylinder has a bolt witha hole in it and 2 copper washers....do these washers go either side of the block the bolt goes through?? if not, where?
