75 Gearbox Filler plug

On the passenger side there is plug half to three quarters of the way to the rear of the gearbox and half way down. It is sitting at about a 30 degree angle out from the housing – this is your filler plug. Don’t forget there is also a drain and filler plug for the transfer – the filler is at the back of the transfer about 70mm up from the bottom of the housing [it is usually hidden by the speedo cable that sits in front of it]. Sing out if you need more info.

Re: 75 Gearbox Filler plug
yep the tube is a retrofit that runs from your gearbox filler to your transfer filler. It stops the transfer running dry if all its oil leaks through the seal into the gearbox (...or vice versa? can't remember which way it happens )whoneedsbitumen wrote:Im looking for the point to fill the gearbox with oil on my 1991 75 diesel ute.
