Yep you need a solid axle power steering box and any lux pump,pm me if you like l have one that you maybe interested in. :)
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.

if i'm not misstaken IFS power steering box's are better to use on this sort of conversion. could even use a 2wd pit man arm if ya wanted more clearance.

ok guys keep talking.... I just finished a 2.4 turbo conversion into my 84 lux and was also thinking of doing a power steer conversion as well... also how much for your power steer box??? I got a pump on the engine..

Pete to be honest the p/steer boxes go for $700 at the wreckers because the were not very common so you would do better buying off hear l would think,but hey l could be wrong.

If u use the IFS box then you need to be appropriate steering arms and rods which can add to the expense list.


However, the j-arm set is crap, but i spose power steering is power steering :D

There is a couple of Surfs being wrecked atm that would have the power steering boxes available. Read bubs build up thread on how to mount it properly :D

If it has a solid axle and PS (which would be uncommon :? ) - then yes it qualifies...
