Gday,

I was wondering if it is possible to take the wheels of my sierra and put them back on in reverse so that it sits a little bit wider.

All help appreciated,

mitch

NO.

Either get a wider offset wheel or get them professionally cut and flipped.

The reason behind this is that the holes that the studs go through are tappered so that the tapper on the wheel nut locks into this, locating the wheel and stopping the nut from coming undone.

In short NO NO NO NO NO.

Some Sierra stock wheels have taper both sides, mine did.
If so You can reverse the rears, but the front will hit the discs, so cant do.
I ran rears backwards, and fronts offset to match for many years.
(about 30mm difference)
It was a bugger crawling under a muddy truck to air down or up.

I would not recommend it, but I did it fer ages.

They have -15 off set and should allow me to fit 31's :P

thanks for your replies guys. my wheels are tapered on both sides so i decided to give it a go just to see what it looks like. the back wheels are fine but the front left wheels rubbed on the brakes so ill take it off.
