you'll get good life out of most tyres as long as you keep to the 3 important things:
pressure
rotation
wheel alignment

A/T my a$$
My MTRs are wearing okay so far.. and are great in all conditions.
I don't know why they have a bad name in mud
They are a lot softer comound though, so I thought on a heavier car they would wear a bit more.

yeah, id expect to get 60-70 out of my 33 claws.
ive done 20 000 and they look to be about 75% (if i dont sell em and go 35's
)
Thats rotating the spare in, keeping good pressures and getting them balanced properly each time, while keeping a good wheel alignment.

I find mine clog up quickly. I think the BFG's perform better in mud, but MTR for everything else

Aren't they bias ply?
I thought they wouldn't have as good wear characteristics as a BFG or the likes.

i've run a set of 5 33'bfg muds on my GQ rotated every approx 10,000k's and got 100,000k's out of them. Copped two punctures in them from crap on the road
but no other probs. Handled well on road as is daily driver and perform offroad.Got the same again this year.

yeah i will vouch for that... i had a set on my middy for 4 years did every thing on them and to them ripped numerous lugs off on rock trashed the bead protector and only one puncture due to some half wit tradie on site recon i got well over 80 000+ km out of them and they are still goin but a mate uses them no on his week end warrior
run extremely well at 115-19 psi when wanting to tackle the hard stuff too... i cant fault em

i treat my bfg muddies like crap - no allignment (yeah i probebly need one) and i lost all my weights the first time i hit rocks. i'm looking at 45000 now and their about half way worn. i've seen claws as slicks after 60K when treated nicely.
