i have a 83 lwb suzuki 30inch muds 2 inch lift and have found that in low range 1st on a rather steep and rough hill it stalls as if its not getting fuel into the motor my dad thinks it might be float level any help whould be great

Remember that with carbies, no matter what you do they will always be limited by angles. You can try changing the float levels, but in the end you will still have fuel issues. They either starve due to the float closing, or flood due to fuel spilling out the float chamber vents.

Give the carby a bloody good clean to get rid of fuel residue which will cause things to stick etc.

i found that a weber i had on a zuke would stall on uphills swapped it back to stock all was good

Reverse the webber, so it floods going down hill, and carry out the mods to increase the angle on which it will opperate. PM builtforthrashing, he has done this and is pretty good with the webber stuff.

The fuel pumps are common problem on the LJ80 and 1.0 Sierra, they don't deliver enough fuel especially on inclines. Sometimes the diaphragm is perished/punctured and needs replacing or alternatively replace the OE mechanical pump with an electric pump.

Also agree with others in that OE side draft carby peters out. I'm not a fan of performance carbies on Sierras but have seen twin SU's work well on a 1.0.

I'm starting to like the look of all the zooks on pirate running propane guess it would cost abit though

Stumped was talking about going gas on his rig when it gets fixed from its roll. PM him and see waht he was looking at.
