There was a link put up by HotFourOk in the Rocky service manual post that may be handy. Here is a copy of the link:

ttp://www.warfs.org/content/view/16/47/

I would check out the F70, F75, F77 listing, it will probably be in Body Electrical part of the manual.

Thanks for that, as the only thing that don't work is the thermo fan for the air con.

there has been a bypass made, so that must be for the wipers as they work.
must be the defog that's not connected so will look into it and see if it also runs the thermo fan or if it's a dead fan or relay. (as air con works)

Had the same problem with my 86' F75 when I bought it. The thermo fan doesn't run through the fuse box. It runs from the relay (up above the glove box) straight to the +ve battery terminal. At the terminal there are fusible links (look like short bits of wire). I think from memory it is a pink fusible link. Check that (for continuity).

My thermo fan died about 3 months ago. Chased all over adelaide for second-hand one. Ended up fitting the fan and motor assembly from a newer model rocky into the frame of my old one. Fits o.k. but you just need to file out the motor mounting screw holes a bit. If you want the daihatsu part number of the newer motor/fan let me know and I'll go and read it off for you.

Good luck. ;)

Cheers.

it's all up and running now :D :D

The fusible link from the batt was missing, looks like it was left off when the air con was fitted.

so now ready for summer :D :D
