A mate of a mate is selling this winch for $750.
It is around 10 or more years old but has been stored in a shed for nearly all its life.
Judging by the cable on it, it looks as though its never been unspooled since new
It just need a few small mods and some rope and it will be sweet

My mate is dropping it off today.
I am buying it for sure.
I figure if I change my mind or my plans change I can always sell it for more than I paid anyway
Forgot to mention it has no hand controller. I was planning on fitting dash mounted controls anyway.
I reckon it looks to be a bargain

You should set up some controlls at the winch end as well for spooling the cable back in, maybe with some sort of disconnect switch.

I can give you some basic wiring intructions if you want it to help set up your in-cab, fre of charge, nothing to full on just a very basic diagram. IMHO better off with incab than remote anyway, you can put another switch on the grill if need be anyway, thats what I've got. If you want the diagram just drop me an email and I'll send it to you.

I bought one very similar to that. Had little use etc etc. Got mine for $800 When i did go out and start using it for weekend after weekend it shat the lower seal really quickly. Im guessing the little use before hand let the seal get brittle.
Good buy go for it!

Just dismantle it when you get it (check the Pirate thread on the HiMount) and replace anything that looks brittle or suss. While it's apart put a filler plug & drain plug in as well and whack on a 6 hp motor

(optional) .
On the wiring side I favour the in-cab set up with controls at the winch as well just make sure it's all wired to an on/off switch inside the cab so it can't be played with.
Hi Mounts rule.
