Guy's i'm wondering weather the front diff out of a GXL 80 series would be stronger than a GQ? :?
I used to own an 80 and now have a GQ, as far as i can remember the 80 cv's are bigger and with my JT2's on i only broke 1 axil!!
I could be wrong but if not..... will possibly put 1 in the front of my new buggie.
Cheers Carl

80 series has much stronger CV's
GQ has stronger centre
inner and outer axles are much of a muchness
GU is a good option if you are prepared to play with steering to get the tie-rod up out of the weeds.

Very good point for starters. The 80 is a smaller housing (pumpkin) than the GQ/GU, a lot more clearance will be gained.

I would imagine that it will end up around 1500 to 1750kg.
It will be running 37x12.5's
About 180kw
AND i have a heavy right foot.
