Can any body please advise me on the best way to do a body lift on a 60 Series cruiser, I only want to go up 2 inches and is there any tricks to look out for especially with the gear levers and the steering column spline, do I have to get a extension for the steering box to steering column. I am having a problem with 35 x 12.5 tyres on 10 inch rims hitting the flares, I have a 3 inch spring lift with plenty of flex or should I fit longer bump stops.

Loosen steering coupling and tighten once lift is in place.
Cut out bottom of fan shroud...BEFORE you do the lift.
Will need to cut around the side of the 4wd lever hole.
Lift and fit blocks. Job done.

I did mine one side at a time instead of going from front to back...would be interesting to hear how others did their bodylifts.

When I did a body lift on the Rangie I started at the PS front, then went to the PS rear, without doing the mounts inbetween
I could see the body flexing, and the width of the door gaps decreased greatly.
After I'd had my stupid for the day, I did it each side at a time.

Has your 60 got the vacuum operated transfer case? If so easy!!!!
I loosened all body mount nuts, lifted driver side then passenger side.
Steering was all good, I took the shroud and fan off together (save removing radiator), with the shroud instead of hacking it to pieces, i re-drilled the mounting holes 50mm higher and made the slot bigger for the bottom radiator hose.
My gear lever was all good, Transfer lever i couldnt get into low range so i adjusted it, i have the vacuum operated transfer, so instead of cutting the floor or bending the lever i adjusted the little turn buckle thingy on the 4wd lever.
