How hard is it to re pack/re grease the wheel bearing.....Is it more difficult than a bit of common sense??
I have some sideways movement in my front passenger side wheel on an MK triton 2.8 diesel. Is it likely to be a straight out bearing, or are there other things that can go wrong at the hub to make it move like a shot bearing.
Is taking the manual locking hub off easy....Is it something I can do with non-special tools, and if I take it off, will it be easy to get back on with just some elbow grease and determination.
Also, how easy is it to fit a snorkel at home?

Side to side movement generally means there is play in the steering arms. Whether it be tie rod ends, pitman and idler arms or whatever. If you move the wheel top to bottom and there is movement then this means there is play in the wheel bearing and needs to be adjusted. They are not very hard to remove and re-pack.

As for the snorkle - not too hard - I did it!
Mine was an Airtec (NOT Airflow) and the instructions and template were pretty good. Cutting the hole through the guard would be easier if you have the right tools - I just (very carefully) used my jigsaw.
Just make sure you seal all of the joints well - go for it!
