running hot without heater.

Post by suzuki newby »

My vit runs heaps cooler with the heater on, as im sure do most cars. When its on the temp gauge sits at abouts 1/3 and when its off it shoots up to 2/3 is this a problem or just a common vit thing. Is there any way to stop fix it?
Its a 91 jlx carbie by the way.
Thanks.

Radiator could be full of crap, how does one go about flushing it out?
Heater fan does need to be on to bring the temp down.
