Hey bud

iv only really had experiance with sierras but i would say most goes for a vitara aswell.

i would try to get as much lift as you can with the spring lift rather than go body lift. 1 inch is kinda small and not really worth making the car illegal.

plus if u arnt goin to be buying gearing and want tyers u can drive daily . you will probaly be running radials prob 30s ? which will be legal.

id aim for a OME spring kitt cost me 1300 installed with steering dampner etc which i have found great. and some 30s. wont need body lift for that maybey jsut some slight trimming.

The suspension is one of the most important parts of ur truck so i wouldn't be skimping on quality just to save a few bucks. I'd at least go for an all in one kit, say shocks and springs. I'd say 2" is the limit for raising the front unless u go with the calmini kits (bout 1800 not including instilation) which lower the front diff and other related parts.

30's are great, but also illegal. I'm not sure of the laws in the different states but i'm pretty sure ur only allowed to increase the overall diameter by no more than 15mm. (then again no one is fully aware of the laws so unless ur sending it in for a road worthy thats not a problem)

i only sujested 30 as i think that is as big as u can go without needing gearing.

CHeers

and yup i defently wouldnt skimp on the suspension . something your gonna have to live with as long as u keep the car.

what iv herd form the calmini are crapola . way to hard.

i really would recomend talkin to ABR about OME not to bad priced and never herd a bad thing about it.

Ironman sus is fairly stiff im told. Was looking at a kit for a sierra when i first got it but stayed away due to the ride quality. Spend the cash and do it right.

not sure which location you are in. but i recently put a 2 inch lift all round (springs) on my 86 drover. this includes shockies and poly bushes (def swap em out while your there cant hurt.) and total cost was 804 bucks. i am in perth wa. ride quality is sweet. not too stiff and great clearance. i teamed this up with extended shackles from Fatzook on the nbs forums. can post picks if you want
