Turbo Petrol 4.2 or Turbo Diesel 4.2

Im weighing up the options of turboing my petrol gq or fitting a diesel and turboing it. Does any one know if the diesel turbo came out as a factory option? Therefore they can be registered without engineer report, less fuss.

no turbo 4.2 diesel from factory imported by nissan into aussie - only grey imports.

Turbo the petrol!!!
I'm only saying that cause i'm doing it.
It really depends on what u want. If its a daily driver and just a w/e warrior i would trbo what u have. If your going to do some serious, remote touring then the diesel would be obviously better due to its lower fuel use and availability of diesel

Are you going lpg turbo or petrol. lpg is easier but i dont like to rely on lpg alone. you can get stranded too easy. its not always available when and where you want it.
