Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Mates got a TJ an just fitted 33x10.5's. Has some castor issues, and was told it can't be fixed with a standard allignment. Can you get correction plates for it, and from whom?

generally you can get adjustable upper controll arms to rotate the diff accordingly..... however i have a 4.5" lift and do not have a problem with castor.

im thinking the alignment place does not know how to align lifted TJ's - Every thing i beleive (toe-in and stuff) HAS to be set to Zero for it to drive straight.

the alignment place is trying to align an American made vehicle to Australian roads and adjust for road camber and the like. His however does not work for lifted TJ's. Im a little fuzzy on this topic but im sure that im right. im sure some one else can confirm this for you.

Or if he was considering aftermarket control arms then as Stu said you can get adjustable length arms (many options)

TJ's have cam bolts on the lower control arms that allow you to adjust castor - this is usually enough for a mild lift.

Fitting 33's alone won't change the castor... fitting a lift will. Fitting the 33's (on new tires with more backspacing) will effect the scrub radius, but not the castor.
