Lift problems on GQ

Fitt a 10mm plate steel packer between the gearbox x member
and chassis to lower the gear box down and reduce the angle on the uni`s.
Good luck with the wobble and get used to it.

You should replace your lower control arms anyway as they are an expensive breakage waiting to happen. The vibration is coming from your rear tailshaft and yes the universal joints do have to be at the same angle to be balanced.
Drop boxes are the cheapest option to solve the front end problems. There are other options like drop radius arms and five link set ups that have advantages over drop boxes but they are generally more expensive.

Thanks for the help guys. Might try the 10mm spacer first and see how that works.

Get adjustable upper and lower rear trailing arms, to position the axles centrally and correct the pinion angle by adjusting the top arms.
Front control arms to suit your lift increase are better than drop boxes because they dont hang down below your chassis mount points and are easier to fit.
Getting that lift is getting expensive now isn't it?

I would say castor plates are the cheapest option. I ahve a 4" lift and fitted plates and very happy with them. I had wobbles and got the tyres balanced and it went away. The front end wobble wont be caused by the lift itself. The lift will amplify an existing problem such as worn bushes and so on.
