Im replacing my waterpump due to a leak from what appears to be the shaft.

Is Loctite 515 suitable for use on a waterpump and also the thermostat housing? Coz I can get this for nothing.

Or will it be to difficult to remove (if need be) in the future?

Anything else more suitable for this application?

I would use a silicon such as ultra blue. 515 will work but if you have excessive gap anywhere it won't set. 515 is anerobic which means dries in the absence of oxygen

as Sinkell said, 515 is fine if both surfaces are flat and true.
I've used it on a Patrol t/stat housing, Rockcrusher diff cover, stub axle flanges, etc.

Used it last night to put the rocker cover back on me bike, I wouldn't use it for a water pump though unless as said before both surfaces are true and flat, I would probly use Ultra Blue anyways
