How do I unbolt my Quadrajet from my inlet manifold. I can't see any bolts at the front holding it on, just at the back.
Also what is the easiest way to hook up the fuel return line to this carby?
Thanks,

There's 2 bolts at the back that are 30mm long and only go through the base plate of the carby...there easy to see...
The other 2 are at the front and go from the top of the carby .... I'll get a pic 4 ya .... be right back !
Back !!! ..... my grotty fingers are pointing to the 2 front bolts !

So, what about the return line?

eerrrr ..... what rerturn line ?????..... I asume you mean one of the 2 fuel lines that join in that funny shaped "tee" piece that was originally bolted to the front of the 6cyl motor. If thats the one you mean, tis easy... get a fuel filter and fit it to the return line ( its the smaller of the 2 lines), leave the other end open... hey presto ....... a fueltank breather !!!
Another solution is to simply setup the tee piece the way it was and forget !.... this way you have a duel fuel line.
Rochesters and Holleys dont need a returnline, they can handle the fuel pressure whereas jap carbys generally dont.

Yeah that's the one I am talkong about

In my manual it actually calls it a return line. I'll whack a filter on the end of it, easy

If it dont work... ( it does on mine but that dont mean it will on urs....being typical nissan ! ), then take to the tee piece wid da hacksaw and trim it down so that the inlets/outlet are about an inch long..... then just hook up the 2 feed lines as they were and run the single outlet to the fuelpump...works the same and ya dont have to get a filter.
If ya running electric fuel pumps as per the petrol MQ you wont need a mechanicle pump, so as in the below pic the outlet goes straight to the carby.
As for the tee its self... I bolted it to the brake booster and bent the bracket around 180 degrees to fit nicely, joined up the 2 fuel lines and ran the other to the carby.

Sort of off topic but how does the Quadrajet handle 4wding eg side aingles and up's and down's. I ask because I just got a 308 that has one on it.

IMO Quadra jet is the best non factory/aftermarket carby around for offroad usage. A mate had one in a 308 Patrol with double lockers and it never missed a beat.
