Hey guys, I done a body lift on my 60 yesterday, whats the go with the steering, everyone says to loosen the bolt to allow it to slide, which part are they refering to?
I didnt loosen anything and it adjusted itself under the rubber boot, (on the uni joint after it comes outa the ps box) I didnt take the rubber boot off, but is there something under there that must be loose?
I done it up at my old mans place, and I drove it home last night and it seemed fine.
Any help would be good
Cheers

I did a 60 today, 2" bodylift. I found exactly the same thing. The
boot you refer to simply covers up a slip joint witch works
similar to a driveshaft, although there is minimal slip required
in the shaft. It should be fine with 2" lift, but more, I dunno........
Our slipjoint came out maybe 10 to 15mm.

Yup I assumed it was the same as a driveshaft, as the diameters going into each end of the boot are different, and its greasable just like the driveshafts, and I assume its there for some kind of flex, so just depends on how much length is in there, but on every body lift info I found on a 60 series everyone mentions to loosen the steering arm, just wondered if perhaps mine was loose and should be tightened, or if people adjust them somewhere else, but the spline on the PS shaft and on the shaft up near the firewall definatly dont seem to have enough length on them to adjust it there.
Can anyone else please confim that ive done it correctly or if there is infact somewhere else I should be makng adjustments.
Cheers

All's good Azz. You can just lift them and the sli[p joint will move. I undid the uni yoke on mine to take up about 5-10 mm of the movement just in case as i'm not sure exactly how far the slip joint goes in..
