Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Well ive stuffed mine and just replaced it and it works a treat.

however ive been having a squiz in the haynes manual and i notice i have the direct drive type of starter motor

however the one i have just put on is a gear reduction one, but it still starts it fine


is there any harm if i leave it on.

If it bolted in properly and it cranks the engine well - i'd leave it in

well i recived good advice from a mate at where i work(bus depot/timber yard), his a fitter/turner/diesel mechanic/boiler maker (the guys a machine )

he say the direct starting ones are an older style and are generally bigger and use more power to start your car, the reduction gears use less power are a better design.

so all in all its ok to have it one there
