The passenger side seal was leaking diff oil.
Do I have to remove the cv to clean everything up and put the kit in.
Also, how do I get the stub axle/cv out?
When should 1/2 degree or 3/4 degree bearings for the top and bottom of the swivel be used? (Its got a 6" spring lift)
and the shims, mine has 2 but I've read that some guys remove one to stop wheel shimmy with a lift.
cheers, sudso

yes you have to remove the stub axle and cv joint to get at the axle oil seal which is inside the diff housing but you can leave the swivell housing in place, after you replace the seal $6.00 from nissan wipe out the oil from the housing and wash out the cv joint and repack it with moly grease as they dont like oil,be carefull when sliding the axle back in not to damage the new seal,as for adjusting swivell bearing just check for movement and remove shims 1 at at time untill any movement is gone if you need remove more than 1 though id be checking the bearings as they are probably worn out cheers Ron

Ignore my last question, I undid the caps of the swivel bearings and the cv come out.
Has anyone got torque settings from a workshop manual for the front axle assemblies?

yeah sorry forgot to mention you have to turn the cv joint till the flats on the outer bell line up with the swivel bearings so it will slide out, tension the swivel bearing retaining bolts to 25-30 ft lb
