anyone rebuilt an air con compressor?

pulled one off the bundy, was totally screwed.. looks like the clutch seized up on the lats owner..
anyway, complete disaster!
anyone got any good tech reference to rebuilding one?

Unless it is a reciprocating type, you're better off replacing it. Even if it is a reciprocating type, replacement might be your best option. But have you removed the clutch to see if it's only the clutch that is siezed?

the whole clutch / pulley assembly is screwed.. I need a new pulley / clutch assembly.. pretty much the front of the compressor
what are they normally worth?

Around $100 for a complete clutch assembly. Thats if it has a Sanden compressor fitted.

its a nippondenson 10P15C off a 22R bundy..
reckon I could probably pick up another unit for the price of the clutch/pulley assembly..
