WTD: EFI Vitara inlet pipe

well, found out today what is probably the source of my fuel drama's. there's a hole in the intake tube between the airbox and the motor, and this seems as though it was causing the computer to run real lean.

anyway, i need a new or secondhand on cause suzuki the ripoff c*nts want $128 for a new pipe. fark that.

what year model and also what type of airflow meter do you have?

mines a 92 model. i'll have to check the airflow meter tomorrow

yeah still check out wich one you have.it sounds like you have the fat end one though.ill check tomorrow for you.

this is the pipe i am on about

the airflow sensor is about 100mm in diameter

Can't you just tape it up? :) I know it sounds like a silly thing to say but... I thought I should say it anyway :D

Careful that you actually use tape that's going to resist the temperatures though! surely it's possible to patch it up somehow... as you can see in the pic, mine has a lot more area for holes to develop ;) was considering taping it up with insulation tape (temperature insulation I mean!) but hadn't considered the possibility of holes being in the tube... any idea how it got there :?:
