Hehe! :D

The only time that I have been bogged in sand is just after I got my muddies so at the time I was blaming them outright. Have since realised that It was probably more that It was a particularly soft stretch of beach as I have had no probs with the muddies since. I tell you what is not a laughing matter is when waves start lapping on your tyres as you're trying to dig yourself out! Not fun.
Here are the pics of that day...

yeh the fishing was no good as usual. just some good size bream. i was all keen to get into some taylor but the weather and wind didnt do me any favours. What makes it worse is that i have just found out that i cant have any time off between now and after christmas, so that will be the last trip for awhile

Ofcourse up north is where the real good fishing is. Dont even have to try up there!

Down the southwest we also get Tailor and Bream but some of the other main bread n butter species are skippy (skipjack trevally), herring (tommy ruff) and Aussie Salmon which are no good to eat but heaps of fun to catch. Probably the best fish I've caught was a big Mulloway which I think you call Jewfish over there...?

You need a boat to get the one that every other state is jealous of...
Westralian Dhufish!

Hi Dan,

Yeh, well when I mean big Mulloway I mean big compared things like herring and skippy and other everyday fish. I know about the really big ones taste a bit shabby but same goes for most larger examples of any fish species. The one I caught was about right at around 75cm and tasted delish done on the bbq in foil...
As you might know we fishermen tend to use a little poetic license to describe the fish we catch!

You're right about the Groper. I too have seen some huge ones caught down the South coast. You from WA?

Cheers,

Noel
