choping 60 into single cab tray back
got myself a runabout the other day and want to chop my 60 in half just looking for info and things to watch out for and legalities live in canberra any help would be greatful

I've chopped mine but not into a tray.
If you want to do CCDA comps then remember the vehicle must retain the original number of body mounts!
As far as legalities i'd be talking to an engineer in your territory if it bothers you for it to be legal.

Oh... and by the way.. The Golden rule is if you chop a 60 into a ute you MUST paint it yellow..

thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard, how do they expect people to put in 4 extra body mounts when they chop there GQs or 60s.... not attacking you ruffy, at all just saying that i think a rul like that is dumb
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown
Gq's are all good, they came out as a ute. The reason i guess is to stop extreme radical mods and buggies from taking over in events that weren't designed for them. The outback is run under CCDA rules and regulations...then how do guys like Todd Robards, Normy Walters and Nik Mannell compete...these trucks have all been chopped and therefor WOULD NOT be using the original amount of body mounts...Ruffy wrote:Gq's are all good, they came out as a ute. What i was getting at was you don't want to go and build a mild car and find your lumped into a class full of chopped, V8 utes with 39's just because your 60 with 35's is a trayback.
