Just wondering if the td 4.2 gu heater core continously flows water or does it have a tap which is controlled by the switch. or is there a flap that just lets the air in or blocks it.
Cheers

i know it has an air divertor between the a/c coil and heater coil so i assume it would constantly have water through it.

to get to it you need to remove a lot of the dash. start with the glovebox and then the a/c box and you will be able to see it.

Not 100% sure, but when you fit a twine shower (tapping into heater box lines), varying the heater switch on the dash varies the outlet water temp... Me thinks that varying the heater core water flow would influence this more than simple airflow throught the heater box? Maybe not... I'll take a look at the manual.

According to the manual, the heater switch only varies airflow over the heater core... The heater cores temp is totally reliant on the engine coolant temp, flow is not varied. If in doubt ask the Gregory's Manual!!
