2006 4.8 Manual Gearbox whine

I need advice from the experts on this site.
I bought a brandnew Nissan Patrol 4.8 with Manual Gearbox, it has the H260 diff at the back and the 233 front. The vehicle is now 4 months old, and done 14000km of which about 1000 is desert driving with the family nothing extreme. I have not towed anything with it or done any heavy offroading.
The problem :
When I drive the vehicle on the highway between 100km/h and 120km/h and i take my foot off the gas there is a whining noise coming from the gearbox, if i accelarate it`s there for a bit but then goes away. Only in that speed range. Faster or slower there is nothing.
Also when the vehicle is in second there is a whine almost all though the gear. Faint but I can hear it.
I know it is not the most refined gearbox on the market and there will be some noise, but is this normal ? How much whining is acceptable ? if ever. Does anybody have problems with the Manual box.
Thanks
I had it with Nissan but they have no clue.
