i've heard putting a turbo on a n/a gu isnt a good idea !
is this true ?
http://www.highwaydiesel.com.au/perform.htm
why ?
it seems strange when other manufactures of turbo kits will sell you and warrant it !
i just dont want to make a costly misstake.
thanks

post 93 model had weaker pistons so any boost over 12psi wasnt good for them .... well it made them unrealiable some could take some couldnt..

However saying that i would do it, many people i know who have post 95 motors are running 15psi to 20psi and no problems...

If you take the conservative approach you should be fine but make sure you fit a pyrometer to monitor your exhause temps...

Dazza Just pick a small turbo so it spools up quick and run boost around
8psi so the engine is unstressed.

My mate has had a garrett T04 on his TD42 for 4 years with no issues at all, it is a very common upgrade and he is about to boost it up.

I wouldn't listen to the bullshit, just have the turbo fitted by someone who knows what they are on about, not someone who says it can't be done.
