Have you seen the guy Baldur's build? It looked quite good, but haven't found any recent info about how it is going now.

Fair enuff, well hopefully I will be a fair way through my built and be able to sort out some of the EFI problems we are likely to run into, and be able to help you out when the time comes.

Yer i say i am going to run into a few problems have you done any internal work on your engine for the supercharger

Haha, nah, havent touched the engine yet. So I will just see how it goes, and if it blows, buy a new engine, and rebuilt the old one stronger, better, faster.

Have sierra 1.3 with sc14 supercharger. Running 1.6 litre swift throttle body injection. Using a bypass for extra boost not required. Pistons lasted about 200km,then lost compression due to ring gap metal breaking away. Recomend using a turbo or induction type piston.

Hi,

Thanks for that info, how much boost were you running? Do you know what your fuel conditions were like? I am just wondering if the rings went due to too much compression or if it was detonating etc from running too lean.

Are there turbo pistons available for the Suzukis? Well, other than custom made really expensive ones I mean,

Take a look at the teamswift page as they have most of the details on there. Honda ones are almost the same.

hi there. after fitting the supercharger, via a idler pulley and the power steering,on startup, the supercharger was pushing 20lb. I put a bypass for extra boost to return to supercharger inlet. This gave an output of 2-3llbs on idle and 7-8lb on about 4500rpm while engine under load. However when free reving the engine as much as 15+lbs. Ithink this is my mistake because it bent the rings down and cracked the pistons. Currently going to bore the block 60thou and fit some induction pistons with cast iron ring grooves. Iam also going to change the pulley speed to give max 5lb of boost at max revs. I am also going to give the head some work and put mild cam in to give more airflow. Larger exhaust valves.
