Flashing light problem with the center diff lock?

Can this effect the center diff lock? I got caught out on the weekend thinking I was in low range and locked center, but didn't notice the thing flashing away.
Also while I have people here, does installing a front locker effect the super select system? or will it perform as if it was the standard open diff?

Having front diff lock will not affect your super select. Dont know about flashing lights, usualy a warning sign that it has disconnected.

An air locker in the front doesn't affect Super-Select - as long as you don't engage it on bitumen.
An autolocker can have unpleasant effects on high traction surfaces, so few people will use 4H. An autolocker will also mean the front prop-shaft is being constantly road driven by the front left wheel, so most people will recommend fitting free-wheeling hubs.
The flashing light may be something as simple as dirty contacts in a switch. The Gen 2 transfer case is all mechanical, and I believe they're pretty reliable. The Gen 3 case uses electric motors to do the shifting, and I believe a few transfers have had problems from incorrect engagement.

mmmm, looks like I will have to take a look at the center lock, as it definately wasn't sending any drive to the front wheels. (neither front wheel was spinning in the mud with the right rear just digging in further)

would this be an issue with the air locker also?

Only when it's turned on. When it's off you have a standard open diff, so the left wheel is driving it's axle, which turns the side gears, which turns the right side axle (half-shaft) in the opposite direction - the disconnect disconnects the front right wheel from the diff. All this is done so that the crown wheel, pinion, and front drive shaft aren't spinning while in 2wd.
An autolocker is actually an auto UN-locker - the diff is locked until the road forces one wheel to turn faster than the other, like during cornering. With Super Select, the front right wheel isn't connected to the diff, so the diff will never unlock in 2wd. So the locked diff is ALWAYS driving the front prop-shaft in 2wd.
Note that ALL CVs are turning with the front wheels ALL the time - there are NO free-wheeling hubs with standard Super Select. But you can fit them...

Hi this is my first post to this foum, so sorry about the poor english
Any way, I had a similar problem in my paj a whil ago... the plate that lets you move (makes you move) the transfer stick sideways was worn down, so my transfer gear got stuck into 4HLc.... Well I took the stick out, put it back, but I didn't get the bolt's properly tightend (found that out when I fixed my gearbox), the lose bolt's that keep the transfer sitck in place didn't let me switch properly to different gears.
