I am fixing some rust in the panels of my truck and have just come across this product made by a firm in WA. Phoenix Paints water based coatings Metalfix. Acts as both a rust killer and a primer and can also be used with glass matting.

If it works as claimed would be great. Anyone had any experience with it - good or bad? The website is:- http://www.phoenixpaints.com.au/

We sell it at work.
I have used it on some rust on my zook and it seems to have stopped it.
We sell quite a bit of it and havnt had anything but praise from the customers.
The guys at Phoenix are great to talk to for technical advice too. They are a bunch of chemist nerds and know everything there is to know about paint products.

Thanks Ausyota. Will give it a trial unless anyone posts adverse comments. Could save a lot of time compared to messing around with conventional rust killer.

I am a house painter and have used it on rusted steel, it is a good product, works great just make sure that you leave it to dry over night so it has time to work, because it is a water based product it seems to dry quickly, it will only be touch dry and if you paint over it too soon it wil not work
