so im looking at getting one
just wondering what size every one else has
is a 12ton any good (how thick of plate would it bend 6mm, 10mm ?? )
or just go with 20t?

I think 20 ton is the go, theres no point getting one and finding out its to small for what you want to do...

We've got a 12T and it really is a lightweight press. Good for bushes and smaller press fits, but if you want to bend plate then I doubt very much that it will be up to the job.

Ive got a 65ton which is probably far too big for home use.
20t would be the go for bending plate, 12t will probably still do it but you will be working the press hard.

Just got a 20t 2 weeks ago....was really tempted to get the 30T and probably would have but needed the few extra $$ I had for v blocks etc....

i agree have cutom made 65 air over hydraulic press never look back, easy of pressing bearings, axels etc
