Leaky inclinometer

Hi there,

Anyone else have a problem with the inclinometer gauge losing fluid?

Mine has gradually lost about 25% of the fluid, I reckon the heat is to blame but I'm not sure.

I removed the console today and there was plenty of oily liquid underneath but after dismantling the assembly couldn't really see where it was leaking from or how to refill the unit - can anyone shed any light?

Anyone got one going spare?

Thanks,

Lou

its probable leaking around the back of it diaphram type of cover.i cleaned mine up and then used araldit to seal it up agian then drilled a small hole in the top. if u have a close look at it u should see a glued in plug there.also use parafin oil to refill it. :P

As above, the rear diaphragm leaked in one tiny section, drilled a tiny hole in the top plug, drained all fluid, filled with parafin oil, glued it up and works a charm.

The fluid that was in there original has the worst odor! and it stays on your hands for ages!

Thanks.

I had a good look around the top but decided it couldn't be leaking from up there so the rear looks like the culprit.

Where can I buy the oil?
