Nissan Patrol ARB Rear Bar
To suit a GQ Patrol. Reasons for sale is that I'm modifying the vehicle. There is however a crack on the right lense otherwise is in good condition. This item is a pick up only or can organise courier from Jimboomba at buyers cost.

Problem with this version is the light cutouts make the wings weak. When they are hit they bend up easily. That's why I have the version without the cutouts.

thats my old bar of bessy the 4.2t gq And the side sections are not weak because of the cut outs I never had any problem with them at all and she was put through some horrible shyt. The lense is only a couple of bucks from ARB. Good buy i reckon as i know what i paid for it when i owned it.

I'm sure Bogged would fit in with the locals, but as far as I know, he doesn't live in Jimboomba.
I dont even know what a jimbooba is... :(
Probably posted for our general information.
I also think its funny some of the offers people make on things, these bars have not been made for about 5+yrs, and are rocking horse shit, and look billion miles better than tube bars which look like bent Giveway posts
YMMV.

For the later model GQs you need the cutouts with the tail lights in them as the vehicle doesnt have them. (blinkers i think )

it will only ever be worth what someone is willing to pay for it
it may have a dollar value to its current owner but to someone else what it is "worth" maybe totally different

exactly so when you are told its a 'stupid' offer you cant get cut up, you just gotta go ok and walk away. im not shy to make a stupid offer, you will never know if you dont ask the question.

If I hadnt already got something else I'd grab it in a flash. Only ones around when I was looking wanted $500+. $300 is cheap.
And yeah I agree with most of the tube bar comments too.... Hence no tube bar on the back of my rig. It's a personal preference thing though.

Rediculous. I'd leave it in the shed to rot if I was seller at that price.

when i have access to 3 boilermakers and a full metal shop i would be mad paying too much for anything made of metal
it would just take the hassel out of makeing it and dipping into my drinking time

not everyone has access to boiler makers, and a full metal shop, probably 2% of people on this board would.
if I had the GQ, I'd buy that bar in a flash.. I've seen them take a hammering and keep going.....

So you think making things out of metal is cheap, quick and easy, especially custom stuff? You even admit its a "hassle".
I used to chuckle when a customer would come in to the workshop I worked at and expect to pay FA for custom made fabrication work. We missed a few jobs but at least we didnt lose a profit on them and my boss liked it that way

what sort of access would you be referring to...cause if i was your mates i would prefer cash over that sort of payment any day

the metal is free as stuff to make a bumper ,bullbar sliders etc is generally all off cuts or scrap (and im not talkin little pieces) and if i do need any steel i get it dirt cheap
i dont go there during office hours thats just rude but can go any time after or all weekend the boss is fine with this and often comes out to help or give us shit one or the two
i never said it was easy but with all the equipment there it aint hard
and my mates are the ones saying dont waste your money on shit well build it bigger and better so i often have to tell him bigger is not always better and not to overkill
what else can i say , to ME spending too much money on anything made of metal is a waste and if i can get something reasonably cheap it saves me the hassel of makeing it and if not its no problem ill just build it
if you rather it sit in a shed and rust cause you cant get what you want for it then thats your problem not mine
and for arb products they are generally over rated and over priced as you are paying for the name brand (which is usually someone elses product with an arb sticker on it) my opinion
but me saying all this , this is in my case and my opinion to someone else it maybe a bargain 300 bucks and to another it maybe just what they want for 600 bucks, but sorry not me
anyway im on holiday and i need a drink
