should i water cool my turbo

Post by brad 93hilux »

I have a turbo glide kit on my hilux and am getting it intercooled, the turbo has the oil lines hooked but not the water.
My question is is it a good idea to hook the turbo water cooling up? (turbo glide told me origionally that they give warranty on the turbo for 2years with jst the oil lines, they said with water cooling they olnly give it 6months.... does this sound right)

I am upping the boost, fuel, and re dyno'n it..

Cheers

Run it, if it has the fittings then it was designed to be run watercooled, your probably doing damamge to it right now.

i put a turbo glide on my gq and the same thing i hooked mine up but i joined into the heater lines so not to pump cold water through the turbo
i think the extream difference in temp may be an issue but i could be wrong
