you could get a 2nd hand winch bar cheap, and modify it enough and still have that 'custom' look

No custom made cheezy type winch bar is gonna wear a "cheap" label.

why dont you get this guy to make you one...
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/profile.p ... le&u=14704
seems he has all the right connections and can get steel and custom stuff done for less than cost
"when i have access to 3 boilermakers and a full metal shop i would be mad paying too much for anything made of metal
it would just take the hassel out of makeing it and dipping into my drinking time"

What is cheap? got my ARB deluxe bar for my GQ for $400 which is cheap considering they are over a grand.... they are round if you look.

As I said I bin looking for sometime and havent found one yet. $400 is what I would hope to pay for one.

pretty sure it still works out cheeper than an ARB type bar, give him a call.

Another option is a GQ bar, they can be made to fit an MQ with relative ease. The mounts are only slightly different in width apart. The biggest difference is the GQ bar will wrap around your guards, which if you run any kind of flares will line up quite neatly and won't look out of place. This would open your options up a little.
