GQ / GU Speedo Gear Interchangeability

Does anyone know if the speedo gears in the gearbox are interchangeable between GQ & GU.
I rang Blackburn Nissan to get a gear to suit my 4.1 diff ratio and 35s but there are none in the country until late January. The bloke I spoke to said there are 15 tooth gears available at the moment to suit a GU, but he wasn't sure if it would suit the GQ.
Part No I'm after is 32703-31G15, I don't know the GU number.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
