gday guys

ive just done a bodylift and now need to lift the bar to suit. is it only the 2 elbow brackets i need to modify? i was thinking cutting these near the elbow and putting a 2" plate in there and then welding it all together so i can use the original holes. or should i just start from scratch?

cheers

I believe Bundyrum4x4 from here has the new brackets in stock, to suit 2" BL. IIRC they are laser cut, ready to weld in.

I lifted mine to suit a body lift.
Just cut off the big mount that wraps around the chassi/crossmember.
Cut off the side mount plates.
Hung the bar from an engine crane to sit in final position.
Made cardboard templates of the gap that needed to be filled.
Transfered the pattern onto steel and welded into place.
Not a hard job but a bit fiddly.
