Can't find anything on the net to help. How do you adjust GU wheel bearings? I've relaced bearings on a HJ45 but I've got to the two phillips head scres in a plate with holes prior to the bearing. How do you get this off and what next. Sorry to be a pain as I know alot of U are in the mechanical field. I'm in the bush and have no option. Thanks for any info. Regards, Chris. Anyway 'HAPPY NEW YEAR'

The plate with the two phillips head screws is a locking plate which has two tabs which stop the nut from rotating. Undo the two screws then remove the plate (ive found it is best to use long nose pliers as the grease tends to make the plate stick to the nut) You will notice that the plate has a series of holes in it as well as the bearing nut having another set of holes as well. There should be one set of holes that is close after you have adjusted your bearings. Hope this helps

Thaks, that helps as I thought that the plate may have had a srew tread on it and perhps it should be spun off the thread. instead I'll use the l/N pliers. thanks.
