Head off again after 30 000

Old head was cracked at 250 000 on the TB42, wasnt causing any probs but thought it best to put a newy on with new valves etc. Did everything by the book and re-torqed bolts but notices bubbles in the radiator after a few thousand kays and steamy exhaust. Got me a little puzzled but thismorming noticed sparkplugs 1 2 and 3 are rusty. Im pulling the head off tommorow to see what is going on.
Anyone suggest some things to check in regards to the block, i want to sort it out once and for all. I have heard that these bottom ends are pretty tough. Also do i need new head bolts or not heard diffent stuff from different poeple.

make sure theres no corrosion around the water jackets and you clean it vvery well when refitting

got the head off this morning and all the valves are rusty. head gasket looked ok, im really starting to think that there may be somthing very wrong with the block. The water is getting in every pot, anyone have any suggestions or a cheep TB short for sale, im glad the head is still fine. Whats a good way of diagnosing where the water is comming from. Im bringing the head over to a mechanic mate see if he can shed some light on this curse of an engine.

for the water to be every pot, there needs to be cracks in every bore, highly unlikely.
its highly unlikely that you have a block problem ( but dont definatly rule that out just yet)
check your intake manifold, it may be coroded and letting water into the intake plenum.
you may have misfitted a hose or something?
pull the carby off aswell and look through there.

The reason I thought water was in every bore was because the the plugs all looked rusty on the electrodes and the valves looked a rusty tinge. Showed my mate the mechanic and apparently thats a normal look for LPG valves and plugs. No 6 did howver look a little suss around the jackets. I have cleaned the block very carefully ordered a permaseal head gasket new head bolts and dropped my head off to get surfaced and pressure tested hopefully she will be running again tommow night.
Is there any trick to bleeding GQ cooling i just use a tall funnel with a bit of head pressure run heater flat out, should i be doing anything more???

when water gets into the bore the spark plugs are normally very very clean, steam cleaned in fact.
