Frontera stalling?

Guys,

I think the Frontera is trying to mimic my old Feroza. The Feroza went through this period where the motor would just die. It eventually turned out to be a dicky Fuel Injector relay. Now twice the Frontera has decided to do something similar. After a few k's after starting, when you pull up at the lights, the RPM would just go all the way down to zip and the motor dies. It would keep doing this for a few sets of lights and you needed to keep the throttle up a little to avoid this. Eventually it will just hunt between 1200 and 300rpm before settling. Eventually returning to normal. Any ideas?
Hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I also got bogged yesterday on the track coming off Bribie Is. :x Never been bogged in sand before. But the guy infront of me in his Renault Scenic POS decided to STOP and let me loose my momentum on a niece piece of quick sand. So it doesn't really count.... OK, I suppose it did to the queue of 4x4's that waited while I hooked my strap up to a Cruiser to be rescued

Hi Wayne,

I sure hope you havent found yourself a bad one.
For some unknown reason the Fronteras seem to be a little bit hit or miss in terms of reliability and problems. I'm sure that someone around here knows of this problem and will be able to help out. Good luck...

Check the throttle body to see if it is clean. Might be a crook IAC valve (idle air control) or dirty connector.
If the TB is dirty the IAC might need a clean out aswell...
