Hi chaps.
Repco cattledog has the downunder fridges 35l for $300.
They are the plastic ones with 2 fans on the side and run a danfos compressor.

Are these any good, looking at moving on from a borrowed chescold 3 way 39ltr.

any advice on current draw, reliability, overall quality, is it a good buy etc?

cheers

are you sure they are a compresser type and not the cheaper cooler style ones.

If you can confirm off them that it is an actual fridge and not a chiller for that price grab it and worry about any quality issues later. Also if it is an actual fridge let me know because ill be running straight down to repco and grabbing one for myself.
Sounds way too good to be true especially coming from

if you can see the fans then it is cooler cos when i was looking to get 1 i checked them out. They are 35 below ambient which is good for day trips but not camping well not up here in summer.Unless it is the old waeco line
off fridges if so its a good deal.I payed $700 for my 40l and happy with it I like the plastic body no rust :D

frp88, its the plastic type, with stainless steel inside, and 2 fans about 5" dia on the control side of it. It has a basket in the top, with room for stuff underneath.
It sounds like to me, there the cooler type, but when I spoke to them, they said it was the fridge freezer danfos compressor type.
Looking at the cattle dog it says they have a liquid circulation cooling system, so Hmmm.

The net dosent seem to have much on them.

They do look different to the 50L ice box types.

My heart is still set on an evakool or autofridge, but these seemed like a good deal, as the others are currently well out of my reach. :bad-words:

The only ones i saw down there today and they were $370 was the 3 way 12V/240V/LPG setups.
Damn thought it was too good to be true!
