Car ran yesterday.
Just replaced power steer belt, and had brakes done a few days before that.
Now I get all the dash lights, but wont turn over as if ignition wire at dizzy had come off. As once broken before, so hence checked that and it seems fine.

Any ideas please????

Thanks in advance.

flat battery? :D

Make sure you didn't knock the wire off the top of the starter motor solenoid. Other than that, it could be nasty.

can you turn the motor by hand when the car is nuetral?

are you getting power to your starter? (just because the wire is there dont assume so)

is your battery flat?

As far as I can tell there is power getting to the starter, and the battery doesn't seem flat.

Sorry shakes don't have a multy meter, but did do jumpleads with Mrs car for dead battery. Have used one of those lead lights for power at the solinoid.

when u turn the key do you here the solenoid click on the starter motor??

pull the covers off the steering column and check to see the power out of teh key barrel when the key is turned to crank.

the barrel was to worn in mine but mine cranked and then u let the key back to run and it stopped.
