Hi Guys,

Have a F85 Rocky with 3y petrol engine, Its currently got a 55 litre Gas tank placed where the orginal petrol tank was ( sits about 4 cm lower than the original tank). I am currently installing Lukey extractors on it and am looking to mount a new petrol fuel tank along side the chassis rail and rear tail shaft. Have measured it and currently get approximatley a 30 litre tank at best. Does any one know of any succesfull gas/petrol conversions where the gas tank is mounted underneath? Will post some pics of the conversion soon.

Cheers.

I did a similar thing a few years ago. Route your exhaust system up and over the front yoke of the rear tailshaft, then along the drivers side, and exit out the right rear. That gives you that entire side to play with. Its probably more important on a petrol than a diesel that you get as much clearance between exhaust and fuel tank.
