Hey all

I've been waiting some time now for a certain company produce a steering arm that actually fits on my zuk... and its not happened yet - so im considering sending the parts that fit (tierod) back and getting $$ back and my caliper, to get another solution sorted out... cos i kind of need to be able to steer! haha

Heres the setup:

Zuk diffs
SPOA with Hilux Front springs
Vitara brakes on front (from 1.8l 4dr).

Im not trying to bag said company, but i am extremely disappointed and im very afraid i wont even get my brake caliper back, let alone any money...

so who can help? =)

Snake Racing, or M&M/ABT4x4.com or go to the US for bits - which is probably cheapest.

im sure u have been told already that ur vit calipers are to big in diameter and dont leave enough meat on top for the arm this is the problem im led to believe, and to engineer it with strenght is goin to be tricky for the best of them.

Can you use the Vit rotors and Sierra calipers?

you can get vented rotors for the sierra brakes... i just put vitara calipers and rotors on cos my sierra ones were flogged out and the opportunity presented itself at the time to do the swap... and the brakes felt FAR better - especially when the rear drums filled with water - the fronts were far more effective.

I didnt realise when i ordered the steering arm, and mentioned the larger calipers that it would be such a pain in the ass to get something done for it... but, live and learn - i'm told that a solution has been found and its all good to go - i just havent seen anything arrive at my door =)

Should the new arm actually exist, im sure its going to be a great product. In the meantime however ill be doing some research on other manufacturers!

Just asked cause I am getting a Vitara halfcut (hopefully this week)
Thought I might as well use what ever I can off it
I got SOA with hi-steer so the calipers are probally out of the question
Might just wait and try and see if I work something
