hey guys, when my truck was engineered, it weighted in at 1.2T font and 0.7T rear, that is with 35's, and tube front bar, TB42, auto, single battry, lockers, im not sure what else could add to the weight,
anyother questions feel free to ask,

so maybe unsprung weight could be roughly 1000kgs or less?

Don't forget a 5.0 is a lot lighter than a TD or a TB. I looked seriously at a 5.0 before going with the Nissan V8. From memory the wieght is about 100kgs lighter than a TD42!
Mine was weighed with TD42, front bar, high mount and twin PC31 batteries (925CCA 180 min reserve ie over 20kgs each) and 35 Simex and it was 1400kgs, but that was on testing station scales so not sure how acurate.

ok so lets say a front diff weighs maybe 150kg? tyres 50kg each 5.0l 100kg lighter i have no bateries in the front
so lets go with ozy 1200-150-50-50-100 and - say 40kgs for bateries
so we could be looking at 800-850kgs could this be right?

Sounds feasible but are you willing to spend the money on springs with these cals? Braver than me.

The Hummer replica went over the scales for engineering, 1020kg's on the front axle and 1020kg's on the rear, total truck was 2040kg's.
and thats with a commo V6

I think your bit on the light side, probley closer to 1000kg than 850kg.
Backs always lighter than front on the nissans so if front was F850 R750 = 1600kg thats a very light truck.
Seams strange that Hummer rep was same weight front and rear(was that a LWB model?)

I think you mean sprung weight, ie all the stuff the springs hold up. The diffs etc are unsprung weight.
