Will this rip the holder from the door skin???

Should I do it?

Theres a 31x12.5x15 on a sunraysia there now, will it hold the jack aswell?

I have a 35 hilift and shovel on my standard rear mount.

You just need to watch you dont mount to low as my friend did and it bent the rear of the car not the door the actual car.

mate the gq rear door is as strong as.
you can mount your 35" and hilift and shovel.
and then you can jump up and down on the bastard and it will still be ok.

just always remember, ITS NOT A TOYOTA, it will be fine

I agree.. shows that they arent always required as they are made out to be.

i use a high lift for alot of things aswell as an easy way to jack the car up to change a tyre

they can pull out damaged bodywork, or pull it in.

you can use it to clamp up shit

you can use it as a make do winch ( useful when you need to winch 2 ways)

you can use it like a black and tackle to lift the car off teh ground or to lift an engine to fix broken or damaged mounts

they are worth there weight in gold, if you havent used one before, you probably arnt trying hard enough.

damn man, you´re so right.

Once I was too lazy to bolt it to my spare tire carrier and I left it. Went camping, awful weather, had to drive back, got a flat tire, remembered I didn´t bring it, got my bottle jack put, wsn´t working, got bored, drove away with the flat tire ruining it....

I bent my hi lift when I tried to park inside a motel room with a low ceiling

i was actuall thinking of mounting mine inside or on the back door,
iv never had to use it either

just be sure if ya bolt it out on the spare wheel padlock the c**t down

can sopme one take a pic of there hilift and shovel and tyres on teh door and post it please

i wanna see how this is done...

or how to make a braket up to make it happen or can u buy them from some werE?

How much is a high lift jack??? I could see one being pretty usefull at times.....hate using the bottle jack.

from like 110 -about 170ish depending on size and brand

they fit neatly under the rear seats in GQS, you just have to tilt the seat forward a bit to get it in and out, keeps them out of the mud and dust too

will try it tho i have pulled out my rear passenger seat to mount my fridge its a 80L... i like it there workes good for me

any ways yeh i might try put it there and see how we go..

but i have the 60" or what ever the longer one is.. and i know in the boot it dose not fiit in square i have to angle it to get it to fit in

I know some one who cracked the doorskin with a 35 and highlift on the standard wheelcarrier.

I have a hi lift mounted to my spare wheel carrier. Just welded to large bolts through 2 holes and used a bit of aluminium to use as a clamp and wing nuts. Works are charm. I tried to store under/behind the 2nd row seats, but I have the 60"hi life so it was too much of pain to remove and re-fit. A 48" hi lift will fit behind 2nd row seats comfortably, and also quite safe for passengers and hi lift.
